Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit jacmoney.com or work with me, why I collect it, and how I look after it. Clarity is kindness, so I have kept it plain and simple.

Who I am

Jac Money is a small marketing business based in Melbourne, Australia (ABN 66 295 390 835). When this policy says "I", "me" or "my", it means Jac Money. You can reach me any time at jac@jacmoney.com.

The information I collect

I only collect what I need to answer your questions and do good work for you. That usually includes:

  • Your name and email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it.

  • Details about your business or project when you make an enquiry, book a call or fill in an intake form.

  • How you heard about me, if you tell me.

  • Billing details needed to invoice you, such as your name and business details. I am paid by bank transfer, so I do not collect or store your card or bank account details.

  • Basic information about how visitors use my website, collected through cookies and analytics (see below).

I do not seek out sensitive information, and I ask that you do not send it to me unless it is genuinely needed for your project.

How I collect it

Most of the time you give me your information directly, when you email me, fill in a form on my website, book a call, or sign up to my newsletter. Some information, like website usage, is collected automatically through analytics when you visit the site.

Why I collect it

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, deliver the services you have asked for, send you invoices, and keep in touch about your project. If you have signed up to my newsletter, I use your email to send you occasional marketing tips, news and updates. I also use website analytics to understand what is useful and improve the site.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your information, ever. To run my business I use a few trusted tools, and your information passes through them:

  • Squarespace, which hosts my website and its forms.

  • Calendly, which manages call bookings.

  • Mailchimp, which manages my newsletter.

  • Google, for analytics and for my business email.

These providers store and process information on my behalf, and some of them are based overseas, mainly in the United States. That means your information may be stored on servers outside Australia. I only use reputable providers, and I share the minimum needed for them to do their job. I may also share information where the law requires it.

Cookies and website analytics

My website uses cookies, which are small files that help the site work and help me understand how visitors use it, through Google Analytics. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. For more detail, please see my cookies policy.

Marketing emails

If you join my newsletter, you can unsubscribe whenever you like using the link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing me. I will always make it easy to leave.

How I keep your information safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access, including using secure, password-protected tools and only keeping what I need.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as I need it to work with you and to meet my legal and tax obligations, and then I remove it. If you would like me to delete your details sooner, simply ask.

Accessing or correcting your information

You are welcome to ask what information I hold about you, and to have it corrected if anything is wrong. Simply email me at jac@jacmoney.com and I will help.

Making a complaint

If you are ever unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first at jac@jacmoney.com and I will do my best to put it right. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Children's privacy

My services are intended for adults and small businesses. I do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If I update how I handle information, I will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back now and then.
